Makayla Turns 4...

Okay, Makayla officially turned four. I never realized how hard it is to have two parties for one child, and she's not even old enough to understand and appreciate it!!! Oh well, it was still worth it. She loved everything she got. It was very different this year from past birthdays. She showed a lot more emotion and excitement when she opened her presents this year.Here is the birthday cake she wanted this year ... Blue's Clues.Here is Makayla making her wish after Happy Birthday was sung. She again wished for Santa Clause to bring her a bike.All the presents!!! What a lucky little girl!This is the book that I made Makayla this year. It is all about when she became a big sister. She loves it!!! She loves Kyle so much and is so glad he is her little brother.Thank you grandma and grandpa Harward for the Three Musketeer Barbie and her prince! Makayla loves them so much. She also got the movie from daddy.

Makayla also got doll clothes that I made for her, Barbie clothes, movies, school clothes, and new ballet clothes. Her big present of the night was her new Barbie bike. Makayla was sooooooo excited! She immediately went outside and rode her bike for about an hour. The whole time she kept thanking mommy and daddy for her "new bicycle." What a polite little girl! It was a wonderful birthday for a very sweet, precious little girl. We love Makayla so much and are so proud of her. I thank my Heavenly Father every day for this amazing little princess!

Makayla's Birthday Party

Makayla had her first birthday party and it was a huge success!!! There were 11 children there including Makayla and they all had a lot of fun. Thank you all so much for making Makayla have such a fun day!All the kids with their puppy ears and puppy collars. Didn't they do a great job!!!Everyone scrambling for the candy after the pinata broke.We all sang happy birthday to Makayla and then I told her to make a wish. This is what she said, "I wish I wish for Santa to bring me a bike." Well part of her wish will come true tomorrow on her real birthday. Santa won't bring her the bike but mommy and daddy will!!! Shhhh!! Don't tell her!Presents, presents, and more presents!!! Makayla loved them all!!!Makayla LOVED the make up that Madison gave her! Isn't she a princess!!!Josie enjoyed the party too. She was locked up the whole time in our bathroom so she wouldn't scare the kids but after it was over she got to have all the bones from one of the games. Yum! Yum!!

Makayla my drama queen...

Makayla just said something so funny I nearly peed my pants. I was in the kitchen and she was in my room with Kyle. When I came in the room I noticed that Kyle had been moved. Makayla has been told several times that she is not allowed to pick him up or move him by herself. I told her this and she said that she had to do it because he wanted to play on his jungle gym. I proceeded to tell her that she is too little to move him by herself right now. This was her reply, "Mommy, I'm sixteen years old! I'm not a child anymore!" Now for all you non Disney watchers out there this is a line from The Little Mermaid. I started laughing like crazy at this and then she started laughing too. Man, she even knows she funny!!! What am I in for?!?!

Life is pretty crazy this month. We have Makayla's birthday coming up in a few days and she is going to have a friend party this year. She is so excited about it! I just hope that her friends show up. Do other mothers worry about that? Every time Makayla has a party or get together she is so excited for her friends to come to her house. I am paranoid the whole time that no one or very few will show up. I don't know if that is just me or everyone. Hopefully we will have a good turn out. She is going to have a puppy party where we will make puppy ears and collars and play puppy games so I think the kids will have fun. She has requested a Blue's Clues cake so that should be fun. Anyway, just wanted to post a couple cute pictures that I haven't had a chance to get on the blog. Enjoy!!!

Makayla Starts School / Ky Guy 4 Months Old

Well it is official... Makayla is a preschooler. She loves it so much!!! She loves her teacher and the classroom and everything to do with school. I am so glad we decided to put her in this year. It looks like she is going to do great!!! A couple weeks ago we went school shopping. It was so much fun. I remember going school shopping with my mom years ago and it is one of my fondest memories. Just she and I at the mall buying clothes. What can be better than that? This year when I took Makayla school shopping it was an extra treat because Grandma Harward got to come with us!!! It was so much fun!Kyle just gets cuter and sweeter every day. He has such a sweet calm personality. He loves to laugh all the time. He also smiles at everyone and everything. I will look down at him and he is smiling at the table or something like that. We love him more and more each day and are looking forward to November when we can seal him to us for eternity!

Okay, I am now a believer that you can't force a binky. In the past I just thought it was the parents that didn't push it but oh no. I have pushed and pushed and pushed the binky and Kyle doesn't want anything to do with it!!! Hopefully it will change in the future but this is what he prefers at this time... AHHHHHH!!!!!!!!
