It's Called Stalling!

Makayla has this new thing that she loves to do. She gets on our bed and jumps into Ben's arms. She has so much fun doing this!!! She tells daddy, "Back, back, back, back..." until he is against the wall. Then she jumps as far as she can. Ben has to run foward in order to catch her. They laugh and laugh. We know that this is her way of stalling bedtime but it is too funny to stop. We love her so much!!! What would we do without our sweet Makayla?

What a wonderful Christmas!!!

Well I am finally getting around to updating my blog. These were Makayla's Christmas pictures. I wasn't too impressed with the photographer but she did get a couple great shots. We told Makayla these were her princess pictures and she delivered!!!
This was the other amazing picture. I love it!!! These both made for wonderful Christmas gifts to grandmas and grandpas. I think she is ready for Little Miss Nevada what do you think?
Santa was amazing this year! He brought Makayla exactly what she wanted... Ariel!!! He also brought her Belle and Jasmine. Now she has all the princesses and she loves them. She plays with them every day. It is great!!! Mommy can get so much done during this time!!!
Josie was the Christmas Elf. Need I say more?!?!?!
Makayla had a great time with her cousins on both sides. Our families are growing so fast! These are her cousins on the Harward side.
Shawcroft side.We had a great time!!! We had so much fun with both families. It sure snowed a lot which made for lots of time indoors but it was beautiful. Ben and I even went to a Bed and Breakfast in the canyon for a night. Makayla stayed with grandma and grandpa Harward and had her first sleepover. It was so nice being able to spend some time alone with Ben. It was so relaxing. We went snowshoeing and out to a nice dinner. We had a great time and can't wait to do it again next year!!! I have to admit though the next morning I was very anxious to get back to my Makayla. So overall it was a great vacation! Hopefully we will be able to make it back to Utah before next Christmas. And remember all of you... you are always welcome to come to Fallon and visit us!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Let It Snow!!!

Makayla was so excited to wake up on Saturday morning to this!!! We had to postpone our trip to Reno for a few hours so she could enjoy the snow. She wanted to go sledding but since we don't own a sled she had to make due with making a snowman. But she loved it! By the way to answer your questions no Josie did not change colors. We were dog sitting that week and that is Sadie not Josie. Josie was too big of a wimp to play in the snow but Makayla, Sadie, and daddy loved it.
That night we went to our ward party. Daddy was in charge of the music part (as usual) so Makayla got to help. She loved playing her tambourine for all the ward to see. After the children were done playing she didn't want to stop. She wanted to keep playing with daddy. We had told Makayla that Santa was going to come and visit at our party. When we got there she wanted to see Santa right away but I told her that he was still traveling from the North Pole and would be there at the end of the party. Towards the end I was talking with my friend and I hear, "Mommy, mommy he's coming!!! Santa's Coming!!!" She was so excited. She ran to the stage and got in line with all the other children. Ben and I both thought that she would be scared of Santa when it came her turn but she wasn't at all. She was so excited and so happy. Afterward she came back to us and we asked her what she asked Santa for. She said that she told him she wants a lollipop. Wow, that was a pleasant surprise for us. Then she was so upset that she forgot to tell Santa Merry Christmas. We had to make a special trip back up to Santa so she could wish him a Merry Christmas. Now everyday she tells me that she misses Santa and wishes that she could sit on his lap and give him a hug. She is going to be so excited on Christmas Eve I don't know how she is going to fall asleep. I will let you all know how that turns out!!!
