Makayla turned three and a half this month and I thought it would be fun to do a little update on her. Makayla is still and always will be the light of our lives. She means everything to us. She is the reason we get up in the morning and the reason we sleep so well at night! It was over three years ago when we received Makayla from our dear sweet birthmother. We called Makayla our little miracle and she always will be. The day that we held Makayla in our arms was a day that we never will forget. She changed our lives for the better. I can't wait to have more wonderful little spirits in our home. We have been so truly blessed with Makayla and I know that we soon will be blessed again with another one. Makayla was not meant to be an only child. She loves everyone around her. I know someday she will be the best big sister ever!!!
Aren't three-year-olds great?!?! They just speak anything and everything that is on their minds. The other day Makayla and I were in Reno eating at the Pizza Hut in Target. A lady who was a little over weight came in and sat by us. Makayla leaned over to me and thankfully whispered..."Mommy, does that lady have a baby in her tummy?" I told her no and then changed the subject to something else. I don't think the lady heard but who knows? My dear sweet little girl. One of these days instead of whispering something like that she is going to yell it and really embarrass me! As you all know Makayla and I were in Utah visiting family for a few days last week. My parents live right by the American Fork temple and Makayla loves it. Every time we go there she is so excited to see "her temple." We call it her temple because that is where she was sealed to us. She talks about how when she gets older she is going to get married in her temple. So on this trip Makayla and I went for a walk by ourselves around the temple. She asked me if we were going to go in this time and I told her no. She asked my why and I said because...(the typical mother answer when we don't want to go into a long explanation.) She looked up at me and said, "Because we aren't fancy mommy?" I laughed a little and said, "Yes Makayla that is why." Later we were walking home from the temple and she noticed the angel Moroni on the top of the temple. She asked me if it was Jesus and I told her it was angel Moroni playing the trumpet. She said to me, "No mommy it isn't. It is Jesus playing the trombone." Isn't that the cutest thing you have ever heard? Ben really got a kick out of that when I told him. As most of you know he plays the trombone. So that is a little update on our girl. We love you Makayla so much and are so glad that you are a part of our family. You make our lives so much better because you are in them!!!

Lori, seriously what in the world does this say? Is it just my computer?
Lori, that was beautiful! Makayla is one lucky girl to have you as her mom. You are doing such a great job and I know that another little angel will be heading your way soon! I am praying every night for that to happen. Love you!
Rebecca

Lori,
I just have to comment and say that I think you have one of the best husbands around (beside my own. :)...I know off topic, but I didn't have any other place to say it. Ben sent me to your site after I found him on facebook. I considered Ben a great highschool friend (no we never really dated)...he was my ballroom partner many times, in my french class (Benoit)and in band with me for a lot of years. He was always so funny and so nice and we had tons of fun together...lots of group dates over the years. I've wondered what he's been up to for years and was so glad to find out. He has a beautiful family!
Just another side note..I own and run an online business and if you are interested in selling your crib shoes online I would love to have them on my site! (sorry...I already do tutu's and bows) My site is www.stitcheroos.com
Tell Ben I think he is awesome, I can see that he has the cutest little girl and fantastic wife and I'm really happy for him!
