I haven't been too good at keeping up with blogging but I do have a good excuse. Either Kyle, Makayla, or I have been sick pretty much every day since January. Not only are we spreading things to each other we also have our own special little sicknesses that are just ours. It has been really hard. We have had several trips up the the pediatrician in Reno. Every time I start to get discouraged I think about how blessed we are to have insurance and a wonderful doctor who I totally trust with my children. Luckily Ben has avoided evertyhing so far although this morning I did hear him coughing so he might be getting our cold. It's time for Zicam Ben!!! Other than that we are doing great. Makayla is so excited for our upcoming trip to Disneyland and the beach. I have to admit that I am just as excited if not more than Makayla is. She is doing so well in preschool. She now writes letters all the time. She asked me the other day how to spell her friend's name and I told her the letters and she wrote them all by herself. She is a genius!!! Kyle is as sweet as ever!!! He now says "Mooom" which is the cutest thing ever. Before he was just saying the sounds but now he actually knows that that is me. Today he said it several times when I either entered the room or just left. Still a momma's boy!!!
We are always saying that Makayla is a daddy's girl and Kyle is a momma's boy. The other day Makayla told me that the seasons have changed and she is now a Momma's girl and Kyle is a daddy's boy. I was so excited to hear that! She told me that on Sunday it changes back. I better take advantage of it while I can!!!
Ben is the best daddy ever. He is so good to take the kids when he gets home from work. He is always playing with them. This is the start of our Shawcroft Family Band. As you can see I am and will always be the picture taker only!!!
